Welcome!

The Political Psychology Conference will be held on December 3rd and 4th, 2015 at the University of Amsterdam and is organized by Bert Bakker, Mark Dechesne, Alina Feinholdt, Yphtach Lelkes, and Jojanneke van der Toorn. The conference will take place in facilities of the Amsterdam School for Communication Research (ASCoR) and is sponsored by the Internatiaonal Society for Political Psychology (ISPP) and the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). The event aims to bring together scholars and practitioners with diverse involvement in politics, allowing to bridge theory and practice, exchange ideas, and explore mutually reinforcing avenues for further study. This way, we hope to contribute to a close-knit regional network by inspiring collaboration within and across national borders and to facilitate the dialogue between political psychologists and practitioners of politics on how social science can inform society and vice versa. The conference program contains a mix of invited keynote talks and submitted paper panels, as well as a round-table session on the potentially fruitful exchange between scholars and practitioners of politics.
